Not the best fit for a 4 to 5 year old!

Normally I read the reviews on clothing especially when it comes to purchasing my grandkids clothing. However, this was a late night purchase and my fault for not reading the reviews.
I would have found out that the side zipper closure was difficult for a 5-year-old to handle. For a 4 to 5 year old wearing simple bottoms are the best way to go when having to navigate a bathroom situation alone! Cute. but badly executed.

This skort is so so cute. But the side button and belt are ridiculously hard for little five-year old fingers to undo. I bought both this tan and the navy skorts for my darling little kindergarten aged granddaughter. She needed to use the facilities, but couldn't get the button or belt undone. She is very shy and was too embarrassed to ask her teacher for help. So she held her bodily functions ALL school day. That makes me feel so frustrated. The skort is cute, but should only be available in bigger sizes for children whose fingers can actually work to make the skort work for them.
